Home / Live Events / What types of live events does SubSchool offer?
Live classes are an opportunity to learn and collaborate with a facilitator and peers to improve your subbing experiences. They are planned as coaching sessions or workshops, centered around monthly learning topics, and scheduled around your school day.
Workshops
Typically, you will see a series of three workshops every month. Workshop series extend the content in the self-paced courses to build your knowledge and understanding of instruction and learning as a substitute teacher. Some examples of topics we will cover are classroom management, supporting exceptional learners, and facilitating instruction for English Language Learners.
Coaching Sessions
These classes are a time to apply your learning and collaborate with peers. Your facilitator will briefly review relevant material; however, the bulk of your time will be spent reviewing classroom scenarios and listening and responding to the everyday challenges subs are facing.
Coaching Sessions and Workshops are "drop-in," so you can attend one or more meetings of your choice.
Once registration has opened, you can sign up for workshops and coaching on the Live Events page. Find instructions on how to register here.
